Join the DAA Chicago Chapter as their panel of experts cover: How does ITP work? What does the new version ITP mean to you? Are there any actions you should immediately take to update your web analytics?
This event has ended.
Today, many businesses are programmatically tracking consumer website interactions through cookies and other pixels across the web. However, with the new GDPR regulations in the EU, people have become even more sensitive to how their data and web activity is being used by 3rd parties. Enter Intelligent Tracking Preventions (ITP), created by Apple's WebKit, that effectively limits 3rd party browser cookies from specific websites without users explicitly enabling it.
As practitioners in the field of web analytics, one of our greatest aims is to avoid losing the integrity of the data we are collecting that drives measurement and optimization. With the release of ITP 2.0 earlier this year, 3rd party cookies expire in 24 hours. Mozilla and even Google are considering similar moves to limit 3rd party cookies.
