Topic: Big Data Analytics, by Motorola Solutions & Grid Dynamics

Talk Details:

Max Martynov's talk details:

Title: “Implementing Data Quality Automation with Open Source Stack”

Abstract: The quality of business decisions, machine learning insights, and executive reports depend on the quality and integrity of the underlying data. There are many ways that data can get corrupted in an analytical data platform from de-synchronization with the system-of-record to defects in data pipelines. We will show how to detect and prevent data corruption with automation, open source tools, and machine learning.

About Max Martynov:

Max Martynov is the VP of Technology at Grid Dynamics, leading High Performance Computing practices for enterprises. Over the last decade, his technical focus evolved from HPC and scalable distributed platforms to Cloud, BigData, DevOps, and Microservices architecture. He is also an author of the book "Continuous Delivery Blueprint: Software change management for enterprises in the era of cloud, microservices, DevOps, and automation", which is now available on Amazon.

Alam Ali's talk details:

Title: "The New Era of Public Safety Records Management"

Abstract: For businesses large and small, cloud-based software platforms are breaking down data siloes between teams, adding new capabilities, and boosting efficiency. While not known as early adopters, there's a compelling case for public safety to do the same. In this session, we'll explore how a comprehensive records and evidence platform can simplify operations and streamline data management and access, securely and responsibly. We'll also highlight the role of artificial intelligence, and how it can help agencies respond more quickly and improve outcomes.

About Alam Ali:

As the Vice President of Records & Evidence at Motorola Solutions, Alam Ali leads the software engineering and product management teams responsible for industry-leading innovations in digital evidence management, records, analytics, and virtual assistant technologies. With the growing importance of cloud architecture in these areas, Alam is also responsible for the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team within the Software Enterprise group. Alam’s vision and energy helped lead to the development of the industry’s first and only Public Safety Software Ecosystem. Prior to joining Motorola Solutions in 2017, Alam held leadership positions at small startups and industry leaders like Time, Inc. and Microsoft, guiding teams to new innovations in scalable online advertising, video engineering, and search engine development. He is also active in Humanity First, a global non-profit organization focused on long term disaster relief, promotion of peace through mutual respect and understanding, and strengthening the capacity of people to help themselves. Alam holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Computer Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
