The Pyros Program
The PYROS Program at 1871 supports early-stage entrepreneur founders as they develop their startups. Pyros is divided into three stages: Explore, Build, and Launch, with each correlating to a startup’s stage of development. Resources are curated for each stage of the program, so founders can get what they need, at the best time for their startup’s development. All of the resources are included in your membership, and founders can pick and choose which they participate in.
The Pyros resources are designed around our Pyros Roadmap (see image below), which contains four overlying learning pillars and milestones within each of those pillars.

The Pyros Program is a benefit of 1871 membership, and there is no extra cost to participate. All Early-Stage members should have been placed in a Pyros stage, upon acceptance into 1871. If you were not placed in a stage, and want to now participate, please apply here!
Level Up: Members involved in the Pyros Program can level up to the next stage at any time by simply following these instructions:
- Explore --> Build
- Build --> Launch
Workshop Recordings & Presentation Decks: The majority of Pyros workshops are recorded, and are available for approximately 2 months after their live presentation. So if you're unable to attend in real time you can watch it later, and/or if you did attend live you can re-watch it as desired. A link to the recordings and presentation decks is logged on this spreadsheet. A link to this spreadsheet can always be found on Slack in the private channels for Explore, Build, and Launch. At the top of the Slack window, just below the channel's name, you will see "Pinned" items. When you click on "Pinned", a side or pop-up window will open wherein you will find the link to the recordings spreadsheet.
Community-Wide Events
Events on the below calendar, that have an icon that is black (i.e black 1871 logo, black Pitch Practice logo) indicate that it is open to ALL 1871 members (i.e.: Early-Stage Members, Growth-Stage Members, Corporate Members, Tenants, Mentors, and University Partners alike)
