General Info

Early stage members with open desk and dedicated desk access can utilize the 1871 co-working space in the Merchandise Mart. On the day of your new member orientation, you'll receive an email prompting you to set up OpenPath, our keyless entry system. Early stage members with virtual membership access do not have day-to-day access to the co-working space. However, if there's an event or PYROS session you'd like to attend in-person, please reach out to membership@1871.com. We are happy to assist within reason. 

Note: Front desk is staffed Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm.

1871 is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property. Valuable personal items such as purses, wallets, and electronics should not be left in areas where theft might occur, and it is encouraged that members lock these items up if possible. 1871 provides lockers for $25/month and can be obtained by emailing frontdesk@1871.com.


1871 has security cameras throughout the space and will thoroughly investigate any situation where a member of our community is the victim of theft. If a member is missing something, they should immediately reach out to frontdesk@1871.com with a full description and image of the item that is missing, if available, as well as the last time and location it was seen. The 1871 Team will follow up immediately.
